A municipality with a Zoning Bylaw is required to have a Development Appeals Board to resolve disagreements over enforcement of Zoning Bylaw provisions. Regarding development appeals, the responsibilities of City Council, board members and the Secretary of the Board are governed by The Planning and Development Act, 2007.

How do I appeal? |
A Development Appeal Application must be completed along with payment of $100. Supporting documentation should also be included with the application. The application can be submitted in person at the City Clerk's Office, 2nd floor, City Hall, or mailed to: City Clerk's Office |
What is a Development Appeals Board? |
The Development Appeals Board is required under The Planning and Development Act, 2007. The members of the Board are appointed by City Council to hear and determine appeals in accordance with the Zoning Bylaw and The Act. The City's Board consists of five members of the general public, as well as a Secretary from the City Clerk's Office. |
