A condominium conversion application is required if you would like to change rental units in a building to separate ownership units. You must follow the regulations in The Condominium Property Act and our Condominium Conversion Policy.
Applying for a condominium conversion
Your condo conversion application must include the following:
- $500 fee plus $300 for advertising
- A list of the tenants living in the building along with their addresses
- Copy of the notice given by registered mail to the tenants along with any replies from the tenants
- Affidavit for the notice posted at the main entrances 30 days before the public hearing
- Site plan showing property lines, setbacks, side yards, parking, building elevation, and dimensions of projections such as balconies
- Condominium plan
If your application is approved, you will need to enter into an agreement with the City of Prince Albert.
