In March 2021, the City took over the Bylaw Enforcement Unit to ensure more effective enforcement of local regulations and community standards.
This directory outlines the issues that Bylaw Enforcement is responsible for addressing, such as property maintenance, parking violations, and noise complaints. For concerns outside of Bylaw Enforcement’s jurisdiction, we’ve provided a resource list to help direct you to the appropriate agency or department.
Issues that Bylaw Enforcement is responsible for addressing
To make a bylaw inquiry or complaint, you can complete the online Report a Bylaw Violation Form or call 306-953-4370 during business hours (8:00am - 4:45pm, Monday - Friday)

Dangerous Dog |
Option 1: You can report a dangerous dog to Bylaw Enforcement. Option 2: To report a dangerous dog, contact Animal Control Services at 306-981-6115 during business hours (8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m., Monday–Friday). Option 3: After-hours calls may not be answered immediately, but you can leave a voicemail, and an officer will contact you as soon as possible. Option 4: For urgent concerns after hours or on weekends, contact the Prince Albert Police Service at 306-953-4222. If there is an immediate threat to life, call 911. |
Dog Bites |
If you or someone you know has been bitten or scratched by a dog or cat, you must report the incident to Public Health at tel:1-855-778-7708. A Bylaw Enforcement officer will contact you for a written statement and an investigation will begin. Please provide as much information as possible to assist with the investigation. |

Report this issue as a violation to Bylaw Enforcement. |
