• Barking Dogs: Once you report a barking dog violation, please refrain from submitting additional reports for the same issue.

Option 1: You can report a dangerous dog to Bylaw Enforcement.

Option 2: To report a dangerous dog, contact Animal Control Services at 306-981-6115 during business hours (8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m., Monday–Friday).

Option 3: After-hours calls may not be answered immediately, but you can leave a voicemail, and an officer will contact you as soon as possible.

Option 4: For urgent concerns after hours or on weekends, contact the Prince Albert Police Service at 306-953-4222. If there is an immediate threat to life, call 911.

If you or someone you know has been bitten or scratched by a dog or cat, you must report the incident to Public Health at tel:1-855-778-7708.

A Bylaw Enforcement officer will contact you for a written statement and an investigation will begin.

Please provide as much information as possible to assist with the investigation.

Report this issue as a violation to Bylaw Enforcement.

• Abandoned bicycles found within the City can be dropped off at City Hall.
• If you would like the bicycle to be picked up, you may submit your concern, and an Enforcement Officer will attend to it.
• Please note that this is considered a low-priority call.

Sidewalk Snow Removal

For pedestrian safety and mobility, the City of Prince Albert's Snow and Ice Control Policy asks that Downtown Business property owners clear their sidewalks within 48 hours of a snowfall.

• Bylaw Enforcement does not handle civil neighbour disputes.
• There is no bylaw that governs snow removal on residential sidewalks. 
• If you have a neighbour, a friend or a relative that clears your sidewalk in the winter consider nominating them for the City's Golden Shovel Awards. All you have to do is fill out the form below telling us your story. Remember to include the first and last name of the person you are nominating and their mailing address.

For large animals such as a bear, moose, deer, wolves, owls, eagles, falcons, grouse, or ducks, as well as coyotes and ravens, you can contact Saskatchewan Conservation Officers:

For small animals and insects on your property such as badgers, porcupines, raccoons, beavers, muskrats, gophers, mice, rats, rabbits, bats, black birds, pigeons, crows, doves, magpies, bees, or wasps, you can contact a local extermination company:

For injured wildlife, you can contact Wildlife Rescue Society of Saskatchewan at 306-242-7177.

• To report a dog or cat at large, animal feces, a domestic animal in distress, or a domestic animal that has been abandoned, you can contact Animal Control Services at 306-981-6115 during business hours (8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m., Monday - Friday).
• After hour calls may not be answered immediately, but you can leave a voicemail and an Officer will contact you as soon as possible.
• If you find a dog or cat at large after hours or on weekends, if possible, secure the animal and either bring the animal to the Prince Albert SPCA during their business hours, or contact Animal Control Services to pick up the animal during their business hours.
• To report cruelty to a domestic animal, you can contact Animal Protection Services of Saskatchewan at 306-382-0002 or 1-844-382-0002

• For cats running at large you may contact Animal Control Services at 306-981-6115.
• Animal Control Officers will request that you submit witness statements if the bylaw infraction persists.
• Please document dates and times the animal is seen running at large.
• If there is sufficent evidence to warrant fines, a Bylaw Officer will take over the file. 

• If you are experiencing issues with bed bugs or cockroaches in your privately owned home, you may contact Tyrone's Pest Control at 306-764-4800.
• If you are experiencing issues with bed bugs or cockroaches in your rental property, you may request an Enforcement officer to attend for an inspection of the property.

If you suspect someone is carrying a weapon and poses an immediate threat to yourself or others, please dial 911 to contact the Prince Albert Police Service. For non-urgent situations that do not pose an immediate risk, you can reach the police through the non-emergency line at 306-953-4222.

• People use needles for many different purposes. The Straight to the Point Harm Reduction Program through Saskatchewan Health provides education, awareness, guidance and supplies for safe needle clean up. 
• Access Place 101-15th Street East (lower level of the Addiction Services building) If you find a needle, you can contact Access Place to pick it up. They can be reached by calling (306) 765-6533.
