Wards

In 1993, Council passed Bylaw No. 62 of 1993 to establish that The City be divided into eight wards for the purpose of electing Councillors to represent each ward.

Ward Boundaries

Ward boundaries were established in January 1994 by a Municipal Ward Commission and reviewed in 2003, 2011 and 2019. Section 60(b) of The Cities Act states that Ward Boundaries shall be reviewed at least once every three election cycles or when the population of a ward exceeds the 10% variation limit.
