Wednesday, May 31, 2023, is the last chance for Ward 8 residents to vote for their new Ward Councillor. The poll location for this by-election is Arthur Pechey School (2675 - 4th Avenue West)
Polls are open from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
A few reminders to voters on By-election Day:
- Only residents living in Ward 8 or who own assessable land within Ward 8 can vote in this by-election.
- Remember to bring identification.
- You can pre-fill out your voter registration form to speed up the process. Only sign the form once you are in front of an Election Official.
- You can still vote through the mail-in ballot process by attending the Election Office at City Hall until 8:00 p.m. on Election Day.
“The last race for the Ward 8 seat was back in 2012, so for the first time in over 10 years, voters will have an opportunity to vote for their Ward 8 council representative. We want to encourage eligible residents in Ward 8 to come out in big numbers and vote for your new councillor,” says Terri Mercier, City Clerk for the City of Prince Albert.
