The Province of Saskatchewan announced yesterday that effective today, Friday, September 17, 202, masks will be mandatory at all indoor public spaces province-wide. This measure is consistent with the City’s mandatory mask mandate implemented for all City facilities last week. Whereas the City had an exception for all sporting activities when competing/practicing in the activity, the province has made this exception only applicable for youth athletics under 18.
Masks continue to be mandatory at gatherings at outside City facilities.
The City of Prince Albert continues to work toward a plan for mandatory proof of a negative Covid-19 test for all City employees and the public accessing City facilities, unless they can prove they have been double vaccinated. The province of Saskatchewan has mandated this approach for a number of public facilities by October 1, 2021. Further details will be released once prepared.
