The City of Prince Albert has been approved for the Provincial Disaster Assistance Program (PDAP) designation. This designation comes in the wake of three significant storm events that affected our community in June, leaving some residents facing flooding-related challenges. Those affected may qualify for essential Provincial Disaster Assistance Program assistance.
The storm events, which occurred on the following dates, will be covered under the PDAP designation for Prince Albert:
- June 1, 2023
- June 5, 2023
- June 25, 2023
The Provincial Disaster Assistance Program (PDAP) is a Government of Saskatchewan program within the Ministry of Corrections, Policing and Public Safety. It was established to help residents, small businesses, agricultural operations, non-profit organizations, and communities recover from natural disasters, including flooding, tornadoes, plow winds and other disasters caused by severe weather. PDAP may help cover the cost of uninsurable essential losses, cleanup, repairs, and temporary relocation.
The application must be submitted within six (6) months of the date of the disaster.
