The Prince Albert Fire Department would like to advise the public that the PA Alert website www.paalert.ca and its associated notification system will be discontinued on June 11, 2021. “We would like to thank all of our present subscribers for participating in this emergency notification system since its implementation in 2014,” said Kris Olsen, Fire Chief for the Prince Albert Fire Department.
The Province of Saskatchewan began operating a similar emergency notification system in 2015, and currently can provide the same notification service to the residents of Prince Albert that PA Alert was previously able to provide.
“In order to provide the public with a single common platform to receive emergency notifications, we would like to strongly encourage that people use the Provincial notification system and subscribe to notifications in your area,” added Olsen.
Please visit the SaskAlert website at http://emergencyalert.saskatchewan.ca/ to view current alerts, and download the app to your smart device of choice.
Non-emergency advisories specific to Prince Albert will continue to be found at www.citypa.ca , https://www.facebook.com/cityofpa , and https://www.facebook.com/PrinceAlbertFireDept
