Nomination applications now available for Ward 8 By-Election on May 31st, 2023

Nomination packages and candidate information for the May 31^st, 2023 Ward 8 By-Election are now available for anyone interested in running for the Ward 8 vacant City Councillor seat.

The Candidate Guide includes information on the responsibilities and time commitment of elected office, candidate eligibility, the nomination process, and key dates. All information can be found on the City’s website https://www.citypa.ca/ward-8-votes/

Nominations open April 11, 2023 and close April 26, 2023 at 4:00 p.m.

Councillor Zurakowski resigned as City Councillor for Ward 8 on February 1st, 2023. According to the Local Government Election Act, 2015, a By-Election to fill Council vacancies must be held within six months of the date of resignation.
