The Prince Albert Regional Economic Development Alliance (PAREDA) would like to announce the appointment of its new Chief Executive Officer, Ashley Charles.
Before joining the PAREDA, Ashley served in various capacities revolving around Community Economic Development in areas of Education and Training, Human Resource Management, Management Consulting and General Management predominately in the natural resource and retail sectors. “After an exhaustive search and due diligence process, the board of directors is pleased to welcome Mrs. Charles as PAREDA’s CEO,” said Matt Vermette, PAREDA Board Chairman. “As a lifelong resident of northern Saskatchewan, Mrs. Charles has a deep understanding of the Prince Albert region’s importance as an economic hub and the sectors that are major contributors to the local economy. Her experience and education will undoubtedly be an asset in moving PAREDA forward and enhancing the supports available to new and existing businesses in the region.”
“I am looking forward to the work ahead and connecting cities, RMs and indigenous communities together to fulfill the PAREDA vision to create long term, shared economic prosperity across the Prince Albert region,” said Charles.
Ashley earned a Business Administration diploma through a joint partnership program between the U of S and U of R. She continued her education and obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) through Cape Breton University, specializing in Community Economic Development. Ashley is a proud mother of two.
