Prince Albert is ready to take votes for the in-city school board and civic election. All polls are open and staffed and over 300 votes have been cast so far.
Roadways crews are out in full force clearing priority roadways and additional City staff from sanitation and water works have been called in to clear polling locations.
“The election will continue today,” said Sherry Person, Returning Officer for the City of Prince Albert. “It’s been a challenging morning but we will not be postponing. If you plan to vote this election, election workers are there to count your ballot.”
“There are months of preparations that go into an election including hiring and training hundreds of workers,” added Person. “Polls are open until 8pm and there are clear skies. We expect conditions to only improve as the day goes on.”
You can only vote in the ward you live in. Please see the polling map for your neighbourhood location. Remember to bring a mask and ID. Polls will be reported as they come in after polls close at 8:00 p.m. You can watch live results online at www.pavotes.ca.
