"We are incredibly grateful to Lake Country Co-op for their generous sponsorship of the Summer Solstice Pool Party," said Lauren Haubrich, Recreation Coordinator with the City of Prince Albert. "This event not only provides a fun-filled experience for families but also contributes to the mission of removing financial barriers and allowing all children to participate in sports across our city. We encourage everyone to join us and make a difference in the lives of children in need."
The event will also have a special guest in attendance. Three-time Paralympic champion Brittany Hudak will make an appearance at the waterpark event. Hudak is a 3-time Paralympian and 3-time Paralympic medalist in the sport of Biathlon and Nordic Skiing. Originally from Prince Albert, she got her start when she was approached by a local Paralympian to see if she was interested in Nordic Skiing. 2 years later, she qualified for Paralympic Games in Sochi, Russia and she hasn’t looked back since.
Members of the media are invited to attend the Summer Solstice Pool Party and cover the event. Opportunities for interviews with event organizers, and participants will be available upon request. This event provides an excellent opportunity to showcase the positive impact that sports and community support can have on children's lives.
