Public Notice is hereby given that the Council of the City of Prince Albert intends to consider Bylaw No. 1 of 2025 to amend Bylaw No. 1 of 2019, known as the City of Prince Albert Zoning Bylaw.
Reason for the Amendment: At the City Council meeting to be held on Monday, January 27th, 2025, City Council intends to give all three (3) readings to Bylaw No. 1 of 2025. Bylaw No. 1 of 2025 proposes to increase the Maximum Building Height for Hotels in the C4 – Highway Commercial Zoning District from 18 Metres to 22 Metres.
Hotel is a commercial land use that permits the use of a building, or a portion thereof, for the provision of temporary accommodations to the public, and may include additional facilities and services such as assembly areas, banquet halls, recreational facilities, and other related food and service uses.
Therefore, City Council, at its meeting to be held on Monday, January 27th, 2025, at 5:00 p.m., will consider all submissions both written and verbal respecting the Public Hearing for the above bylaw. If you would like your written submission reviewed by City Council PRIOR to the meeting, it would be preferable if it were provided by 4:45 p.m. on Tuesday, January 21st, 2025. In accordance with City Council’s Procedure Bylaw No. 23 of 2021, any written submissions must be provided to the City Clerk. Verbal submissions shall be heard during the Public Hearing portion of the meeting.
