The City of Prince Albert is excited to invite residents to visit the new Aquatic and Arenas Recreation Centre on Sunday, September 29 and Sunday, October 6, from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM. A designated path will be cordoned off for safe viewing. The sneak peek tour will be limited to the foyer area, but visitors will get a feel for the scale of the facility.
“Our new recreation centre is beautiful and even more impressive up close. We encourage all our residents to come by on one of these Sundays and take the opportunity to view the centre,” said Mayor Greg Dionne.
The upcoming tours will give residents a sneak peek at the Aquatic and Arenas Project, set to open in 2025. The facility will feature state-of-the-art amenities, including:
- Aquatic Area: An eight-lane, 25-metre competitive pool with 200 spectator seats, a combined leisure, splash, wave pool, lazy river, two water slides, and a whirlpool.
- Arenas: Two NHL-sized rinks (200 feet by 85 feet), seating 264 in one rink and 510 in the other, along with 6,720 square feet of player dressing rooms and 800 square feet of referee dressing rooms.
“The construction of a facility of this size is a substantial undertaking,” added Mayor Dionne. “You can see the level of precision that goes into a build like this when touring the facility. We want to thank Graham Construction for making this possible.”
