The City of Prince Albert invites residents and stakeholders to complete a survey to help determine a permanent location for an Enhanced Emergency Shelter. The survey complements ongoing community consultation sessions being held across the city throughout January.
The two-minute survey can be accessed online at: https://arcg.is/OHWua
“We are trying to get as much input as possible from the community to inform this conversation,” said Anna Dinsdale, Community Safety and Well-Being Manager. “The attendance at the first three consultation workshops has been brilliant, and this survey is another way for us to gather feedback from those who are unable to attend or who have more that they would like to contribute.”
The fourth and final consultation session will be held on Thursday, January 30, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at PAGC Urban Services – 1211 1st Ave W, Prince Albert.
An Enhanced Emergency Shelter is a 24-hour facility designed to support individuals experiencing homelessness by providing a safe space where their basic needs—such as food, shelter, and hygiene—are met. Additionally, the shelter offers critical support services, including assistance with mental health, addictions, and life-skills programming. The ultimate goal is to help individuals regain dignity, build self-esteem, and transition to long-term housing.
The City encourages all residents to share their perspectives through the survey or attend the upcoming session. Community feedback is essential to shaping this important initiative.
