City of Prince Albert receives more than five million in Municipal Economic Enhancement Program (“MEEP”) funding from the Provincial Government.
At their regular meeting today, Mayor Greg Dionne and MLA Hargrave met to discuss significant funding dollars the City of Prince Albert will be receiving from the Government of Saskatchewan through the Government of Saskatchewan’s Municipal Economic Enhancement Program.
SGI and Crown Investments Corporation Minister and Prince Albert MLA Joe Hargrave said, “I am proud to announce that the City of Prince Albert will be receiving a $5,163,587 investment from the Provincial Government for municipal infrastructure that will improve the quality of life of Prince Albert residents and ensure continued economic growth in the community.” Minister Hargrave added, “In these particular times, it is important that the City of Prince Albert be able to re-open as safely as possible and get its citizens back to work.”
Prince Albert Mayor Greg Dionne said, “City Council and Administration have worked very hard to acquire additional funding for our community. The infrastructure projects being funded by MEEP are critical to the City’s sustainability and growth and would not have been possible without the support of the Provincial Government.”
