The City of Prince Albert continues to work with emergency personnel, the RMs of Buckland and Garden River and the Saskatchewan Public Safety Agency (SPSA) to provide updates to residents and the public about the Prince Albert Cloverdale Fire burning northeast of the city.
As of 4:30p.m. on Wednesday, May 19, 2021, the fire Saskatchewan Public Safety Agency (SPSA) is reporting the Cloverdale Fire as approximately 65% contained, although wind speeds and changing wind direction continues makes the situation challenging.
Cecil Ferry remains open 24 hours a day and Ministry of Highways has added extra staff to keep traffic moving. Residents north of White Star Road are permitted to return to their homes.

RCMP and City Police continue to work together to patrol all access points and complete roaming patrols to ensure property and public safety in the area.
A State of Emergency for the City of Prince Albert remains in effect.
Evacuees are being reminded to register with the City of Prince Albert if they haven’t done so already, either by calling 306-953-4816 or going directly to the Margo Fournier Centre at 1211 1st Avenue West. The Margo Fournier Centre will be staffed again until 9:00pm tonight to register evacuees.
