With Halloween approaching, the City of Prince Albert recognizes that it will be an abnormal trick-or-treating season and would like to remind residents of Prince Albert that participating in this years’ ghostly festivities are completely voluntary.
Halloween falls on a Saturday this year and there is an expectation that more kids will be out and about collecting treats.
“This year more than ever, people’s decision to participate should be respected. As always “lights on” means trick-or-treaters are welcome and “lights off” is an indication that a resident does not wish to partake,” said Jim Toye, City Manager. “We are also asking that if you do decide to go out this year that you stay in your home communities as much as possible.”
The province of Saskatchewan has a list of practices for Halloween including social distancing and distributing only wrapped, store-bought treats. For more information please see the Saskatchewan government website.
