With Family Day just around the corner, Prince Albert residents can look forward to some exciting and free activities on Monday, February 17th, 2025. This yearly celebration of family and community will offer a range of fun recreational options at certain City of Prince Albert facilities, such as the Alfred Jenkins Field House.
Alfred Jenkins Field House
AJFH will offer free programming from 3:00 to 6:00 PM, excluding the climbing wall/fitness centre. Activities include Free Gym Drop-In and Free Drop-In on Turf and Track from 3:00 to 6:00 PM. Please remember to bring indoor shoes for participation.
Skating at Steuart Arena
Skate into fun with FREE Skating at the at the Steuart Arena from 2 – 3:30 PM
Art Drop-In and Winter Festival Art Show at Mann Art Gallery
For those with a passion for art, the Mann Art Gallery invites families to a Free Family Art Drop-In from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM. All ages are welcome, with children accompanied by an adult. Check out the 49th Annual Winter Festival Art Show at the same time.
Prince Albert Historical Museum
Enjoy Free Admission to the Historical Museum from 1:00 to 4:00 PM. A journey through history awaits!
The Circus Comes to The Museum! Featuring a Vintage Circus Train Display with David Zulkoskey, a Scavenger Hunt, and Crafts and Activities. Runs from 12:00 to 4:00 PM. Enjoy the circus magic with us!
Lots to do at Little Red River Park
Experience the outdoors with tobogganing, hiking, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, and more at Little Red River Park. Plus, discover outdoor skating rinks at various community club rinks throughout Prince Albert!
Prince Albert Public Library
Drop in and enjoy family-friendly movies all week long! Featured Winter Break Movies are: The Garfield (Feb. 18), The Wild Robot (Feb. 19), Harold and The Purple Crayon (Feb. 20), and Moana 2 (Feb. 21). Join us for scheduled movie showings at 2:00 PM!
Swimming at Frank J. Dunn
Frank J. Dunn Public Swimming will be available on Family Day from 1:15 PM to 6:00 PM (regular admission fees apply). This is a perfect opportunity to use up any FJD swim passes or free admission coupons you may have, as they will not be accepted at the new facility. Don’t miss your chance to enjoy one of the final swims at FJD before the season comes to an end!
