Prince Albert, Sask. –
The City of Prince Albert would like to make it as easy as possible for voters to cast their vote in the upcoming Municipal and In-City School Board election. If you are a voter with a disability, the following options are available:
1. Bring a friend or request the assistance of an Election Official at a Regular Poll
If you require assistance, there are no rules against having someone join you. There are also several Election Officials assigned to each Poll who are available to assist as needed. All polling locations are wheelchair accessible.
2. Use the AutoMARK Voter Assist Terminal at Advance Polls
The AutoMark terminal assists voters who are visually impaired or have a physical impairment to independently mark their ballot without requiring assistance from another individual. Please see the AutoMark section of the Voters page on the pavotes.ca website for more information.
3. Mail in Ballots
The Mail-in ballot process has been expanded this year to allow any eligible voter to register to vote by mail. You can register from home or make an appointment at City Hall. If voting from home, you will need to complete a registration and declaration form, have a witness sign the form and supply ID for yourself and your witness.
4. Homebound Voting
Voters with physical disabilities or limited mobility can apply to vote from their home. Applications will need to be completed by the voter and, if applicable, the voters caregiver.
5. Transportation
The Prince Albert and District Community Service Centre will be available free of charge on Election Day to seniors and residents with special needs. Book your ride by calling the dispatcher at:
