LJ Tyson is a Folk/Pop artist from Prince Albert, Saskatchewan. Blending themes of identity and social movement, LJ has put his own unique stamp on the music scene. LJ Tyson is an Indigenous person who identifies as part of the 2SLGBTQ+ community. Identity has become a major part of LJ’s work because he feels representation is important in music for minority groups. LJ has shared his songwriting and performance across Canadian radio and venues.

Free Family Day Drop-in Art Program: Monday February 20th
1:00 – 2:00 pm Paint Pens: Join Colby in creating some beautiful art with paint pens!
2:00 – 3:00 pm: Join Adrian in making pinch pots (pottery). For first time (or limited) pottery participants.

Micro and Macro of the Boreal Forest (Jeff Meldrum & Greg Allen) until February 23
Greg Allen paints the intricacies of the algae, lichen and moss which over time slowly come to cover the rocks and boulders found along the shoreline of boreal forest lakes while Jeff Meldrum sets up camera traps to capture bears, elk and deer interacting with his artistic interventions in the landscape.

The Prince Albert Arts Hall of Fame recognizes citizens from the Prince Albert region that have had a significant, long-term impact on arts and culture in our community.
For the 2022 & 2023 inductees, there will be a joint induction gala in September of 2023.
The next induction selection deadline is March 23, 2023.
