Prince Albert, Sk. – With the Province of Saskatchewan’s latest COVID-19 restrictions now in effect, including limiting private and indoor gatherings to immediate household members only, and outdoor gatherings where physical distancing between households are limited to 10 people, the City of Prince Albert reminds residents of many activities they can take part in, honoring these measures. The PA Together at Home webpage was created earlier this year to share virtual activities for people at home. The page has been expanded to include activities for the holiday season.
“We hear a lot about what we cannot do these days,” said Jody Boulet, Community Services Director for the City of Prince Albert. “This page brings together the list of activities that we can do this holiday season. We are encouraging all residents to stay positive, stay safe and explore the opportunities that are available to them.”
The City of Prince Albert has the second highest per capita ratio of residents to ice rinks in the country. Many of the Community Clubs around the city are now functional with natural ice indoors and outdoors. There are many tobogganing and sliding hills throughout the city. Little Red River Park has over 40 kilometres of groomed cross-country trails, with the Prince Albert Nordic Ski Club currently adding more in the Kristi Lake area.
