![What goes into the Blue Bin?](/en/news/resources/2022-Recycling-Reminder.png)
It is important to only place recyclable materials in the blue bin. Bins that are contaminated with garbage can contaminate an entire load, requiring it to be sent to the Landfill. By using the Recycling bins correctly, we reduce waste and add years to the lifespan of our landfill.
Material that CAN be placed in your blue bin:
- Paper and cardboard
- Clean metal food cans and foil
- Beverage containers (milk, juice, water, soda)
- Plastic jugs, bottles and clean food containers (1-7)
Material NOT acceptable in your blue bin:
- Household garbage
- Yard or food waste
- Styrofoam or other packing materials
- Wood, dirt or concreate
- Soiled paper or cardboard
- Clothing
Additional information can be found on the back of your waste collection calendar, by viewing
