Prince Albert, SK – On the first day of school, September 5th, 2023, all City Tansit will be free. This promotion will allow students of all ages to try City Transit for free to start the school year. High School Student subsidized bus passes are available at Carlton, St. Mary's, Wesmor, and Prince Albert Collegiate Institute for $20 monthly. For post-secondary students, the passes are subsidized at $45 per month.
“The free transit day will allow students to get to school and purchase their bus passes,” says Evan Hastings, Transportation Manager for the City of Prince Albert. “It also allows students to try and familiarize themselves with the bus routes. We encourage students and parents to subscribe to Transit News, where daily news and updates are posted.”

- River Street at Riverside School
- 4th Street East at Princess Margaret School
- 6th Ave West at St Anne School
- 15th Street West at Queen Mary School
School zones are areas with a lot of pedestrians, especially children. When you're through a school zone, reduce your speed to 30 km/h, and remember that U-Turns are not permitted.
