It's time to enjoy Summer in Prince Albert! Starting today with Canada Day festivities hosted by the Legion in Kinsmen Park with entertainment starting at 11:00 a.m. followed by opening ceremonies at 12 noon. The riverbank will be the site of more celebrations with the Multicultural Canada Day Gathering starting at 4:00 p.m. The day culminates with Fireworks at the Riverbank at dusk...enjoy!

Celebrate Canada's Birthday TODAY!!!!
There are a couple of Canada Day Celebrations in the City today:
Kinsmen Park - hosted by the Legion:
Starting at 11:00 a.m. today head to Kinsmen Park for a fun, family-filled day of entertainment, food booths and treats, bingo, ball tournament and police dog demonstration!
Multicultural Council Canada Day on the River Bank:
Kids Stage begins at 4:00 p.m. Other events run from 5:00 to FIREWORKS!
The Multicultural Canada Day will recognize the beautiful various cultures we have in our diverse community, as well as, acknowledge the truth and history of residential schools and Indigenous cultures and traditions. It will showcase multicultural performances, music, food, messages about reconciliation and coming to Canada from both Indigenous Elders and communities and Newcomers/ Immigrants/ Refugees communities. The gathering will end with a beautiful Fireworks display!
Everyone is welcome to attend and enjoy the free cultural festivities.

An annual tradition in the City of Prince Albert, the Playground Program, returns for 6 to 12-year-olds. The Playground Program will be offered in 10 locations from July 4th until August 19th. The Kinsmen Park location operates 7 days-a-week and will begin this weekend, July 2nd and 3rd from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. in that location only.
Many of the locations offer spray parks including Kinsmen Park, Crescent Acres, Midtown, West Hill, Miller Hill, Lions Park, Westview, and the new Crescent Heights location. The tenth location is Hazeldell which features a paddling pool.
All 10 locations are staffed by two trained playground supervisors. All locations operate Monday to Thursday from Noon to 5:30 p.m. and on Fridays from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. The Kinsmen Park location also operates Saturdays and Sundays from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
The Playground Program offers a variety of activities including science, arts, recreation, literacy, drama, and more. Leaders pre-plan activities each day based on weekly themes throughout the summer.

National Drowning Prevention Week, July 17-21
Plenty of activities and fun to be had at the Kinsmen Water Park this week! They will be educating, giving resources, and running a series of events and activities for the public!
The week is geared towards prevention of drowning and water-related injury! Prizes to be given!

National Lifeguard—Waterpark course is being held from July 28-August 1. If you hold National Lifeguard—Pool, you are eligible for Waterpark, which is a branch of Pool that is geared towards lifeguarding waterparks! For more information, please call KWP at (306) 953-4835.

Bottle Drive for play gound Field Trips!
Playground kids and families can sign up to help participate in the bottle drive on July 11 and August 9th, from 6-7pm.
This will take place at each playgrounds neighborhood and proceeds go towards fundraising for the Kinsmen Water Park and other field trips at the playgrounds.
We will accept dropped off bottles at Miller Hill from 12pm-5pm, Mon-Fri.

Another special event hosted by the Playground Program is Into the Woods Day Thursday, August 3rd in Little Red River Park. With the support of a Parks for All grant from the Saskatchewan Parks and Recreation Association, Wildernook Fresh Air Learning will lead Playground Program participants through a fun and educational day at Little Red. Children will be bussed free of charge from different Playground Program locations to Little Red where they will explore the park and learn about nature with demonstrations, walks and interactive programs designed by Wildernook.
More details will be announced later on this summer, including where and when children can pre-register for Into the Woods Day.

Kinsmen Water Park is open ever day this month with Public Swimming from 1:00-7:00 p.m.
Lane swimming is also available daily. Times are 6:00-8:30AM and 11AM-12:30PM on weekdays, and 8:00-10:30AM on weekends.

All Spray Parks are activated from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. daily and most have an actuator to start the water!

Broadway North Youth Company’s Summer Intensive: July 17th to 21st at the EA Rawlinson Centre for the Arts
Ages 7 to 18 can partake in this one-week intensive, musical theatre education program. Students learn dance, drama and voice, before performing a short recital for their parents at the end of the week. A few spots remain in this unique and exciting program!

Attention teens and adults! A playground built just for you! The Party City Outdoor Gym at the Alfred Jenkins Field House is open daily.
The gym is a 7,000 square foot facility, designed for use by ages 13+. It includes both traditional body-weight workout equipment, and advanced elements similar to ones featured on reality television shows like "Ninja Warriors".

- Charley Ferraro presents A Certain Detour: over 60 plaques and sculptures produced over the past four years by Saskatchewan’s renowned ceramic artist.
- Dawna Rose and Betsy Rosenwald’s epic collaboration: Journal of the Plague Year(s): 2020–2023 is their response to the global pandemic and related political events.
- 53.2033° N, 105.7531° W is an innovative exhibition on Prince Albert from the Mann’s Permanent Collection, curated by Mikaela LeBlanc and Tekla Mattila.

The exhibition, 'Calling', features the beautifully crafted and thoughtfully meditative fibre works of Saskatchewan artist, Hanna Yokozawa Farquharson. Originating from Japan, the artist's works draw upon the aesthetic and design principles of her cultural and professional background, while responding to the natural landscapes and experiences of her new home as a newcomer to Saskatchewan.
