Playground Program

• It’s free! This is a drop-in program-children can come and go as they want.
• It’s for children aged 6-12 years old.
• There are two trained supervisors per playground - see details below.

• Miller Hill - 200 MacDowall Crescent
• Crescent Acres - 1689 Olive Diefenbaker Drive.
• Crescent Heights - between Cook Drive and Branion Drive
• Midtown - 540 - 9th Street East
• West Hill - 2320 6th Avenue West
• Lions Park - 1301 13th Street West

Activities include: unstructured play, arts, recreation, science, literacy, drama and culture.

• Monday to Friday: 11:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Play leaders are required to obtain the following training:

• Saskatchewan Parks and Recreation Play Leadership Training 
• WHMIS
• First Aid & CPR/AED level C

Play Leaders also attend a multi-day orientation to the Prince Albert Playground Program.

Join us for the 31st Annual KidzFest - It will be an afternoon of family fun!

Activities include carnival games, balloon animals, crafts, face painting, professional stage entertainment, bouncy castles, special guests and more! Admission is free and all activities are free to participate in. This year food can be purchased through the Prince Albert Youth Travel Club!

The JumpStart Inclusive Playground has many unique features designed specifically for children with disabilities. 

Once again this summer, the City will welcome children with disabilities to enjoy the inclusive elements of the Jump Start Inclusive Playground during a quieter time. One playground leader will be in attendance to interact and assist children, however a parent or guardian must be in attendance at all times.  

Location: Alfred Jenkins Field House - Jumpstart Playground 

2026 Inclusive dates: Tuesday, July 14th, Tuesday, July 28th and Tuesday, August 11th
