City of Prince Albert Housing Plan
In 2012 the City of Prince Albert commissioned Associated Engineering Ltd. to prepare a Housing Plan in order to develop a strategic response to growing housing needs within the community. The plan was developed under the Saskatchewan Housing Corporation's Encouraging Community Housing Options (ECHO) grant funding program. The purpose and considerations of the plan, as identified under the ECHO program, are to:
- Consider housing needs across the entire housing continuum,
- Identify priorities and targets,
- Consider housing in the surrounding area, and
- Identify measures for determining success and how progress will be reported.
Housing Plan Action Strategy
In 2012, the City of Prince Albert (the City) completed a Housing Plan. In 2016, the City hired Dillon Consulting
Limited to develop an Action Strategy for the Plan to provide clear direction and priorities for housing programs
and City involvement.
This Action Strategy provides more detailed actions, focuses on what the City can do and provides recommendations for the City Council and Staff to achieve more robust, fair and attainable housing in the City of Prince Albert.
