Event Description

Last year our Ward 3 Community came together as we held the first-ever Ward 3 Community Clean-up! We thought we’d start small, and it ended up being huge- all thanks to you! Due to the overwhelming response- we’re doing it again! We are working with various partners including the City of Prince Albert, Loraas Environmental Services, Schmalz Steel & Recycling, Chester Fest Couch & Music Festival and others- keep an eye on my social media at: www.facebook.com/EvertPBothaWard3 NEW LOCATION & FUNDRAISER Our new 2019 Ward 3 Community Clean-up Drop-off Location is the Prince Albert Exhibition Center (PAEX) located at 815 Exhibition Drive. Please note we will not be accepting any tires this year- hopefully again in 2020! The PAEX will also be selling hot-dogs, burgers and refreshments throughout the weekend as we raise funds to renovate the historic Octagonal Building located on the Prince Albert Exhibition Grounds. CHESTER FEST COUCH & MUSIC FESTIVAL If you have an old Chesterfield Sofa, love seat, couch or chairs you would like to donate toward this amazing event- please let us know and we will arrange to have it collected. DEDICATED DROP-OFF ZONES Our goal this year is to reduce the number of items sent to the landfill- so if it can be repaired or recycled- please be sure to drop it off in the right zone. There will be a dedicated bin for all your recyclables (cans, carton and bottles) to donate towards this fundraising effort. Our 2019 Ward 3 Community Clean-up is part of the City of Prince Albert’s Pitch-in Week- and we need as many volunteers as possible to assist throughout the week- especially on Friday, May 10th, Saturday, May 11th and Sunday, May 12th. If you have a couple (or more hours to spare- we would love to hear from you! In addition to the dumpsters at the drop-off location- we are also putting together a team of volunteers (with trucks and trailers) to assist with all the pick-up requests, and to assist with directing traffic to the appropriate drop-off location(s) at the PAEX.

Event Posting Criteria

In addition to allowing residents and visitors the ability to find out what's happening in Prince Albert, this calendar is intended as a planning tool for event planners in the community. It is highly encouraged that event planners submit events as soon as dates are scheduled.

NOTES FOR EVENT ORGANIZERS:

  • The calendar will be updated ONLY as events are submitted by organizers. Do not assume your event will posted because it is annual or well-known.
  • A submission form should be completed for each of the events you would like posted.
  • The City of Prince Albert will promote the purpose and intent of the calendar to ensure it is widely used and so that its intent is understood.
  • Events should be submitted as soon as scheduled; at least a month in advance is preferable. Events will be accepted a year or more in advance if they are scheduled.
  • Events should be posted on the business/organization’s website and/social media pages to ensure consistent coverage.

WHAT CAN BE SUBMITTED

  • All events must be open to the general public.
  • With the exception of conferences and conventions in the business category, events held for single interest groups are not permitted.
  • Events that promote any religious organization; multi-faith or inter-faith events will be considered on an individual basis.

Events permitted on the calendar should fall into one of the following five categories:

  1. Annual/Special Events (Blue)
  2. Sport Tournaments and Events (Purple)
  3. Arts/Culture (Orange)
  4. Business Events (Gold)
  5. City Meetings and Initiatives (Green)

For more details on the categories, please see the Full Calendar of Events Posting Criteria

WHAT CANNOT BE SUBMITTED
