Cooke is steeped in history dating back to 1909. In 1968, the golf course was named in memory of Hubert Cooke, who served as golf professional from 1925 to 1965. During his forty-one years, he established the leadership and pride that is still felt at Cooke today.
Cooke offers a wide range of services including a 15 bay grass green tee driving range, golf club and cart rentals, a fully stocked proshop specializing in custom fitted clubs and lessons, and a club house with food services and a fully licensed lounge.
This property has been designated as being of architectural, historical or natural value through Bylaw No. 14 of 2009 - Designation of Heritage Property - Cooke Municipal Golf Course.
