Block Parties and Parades

A block party is a social gathering whereby the residents of a particular neighbourhood desire to close a street to vehicular traffic.

A parade is any street closure that involves a group of pedestrians marching or walking along a public highway and numbering 25 or more or any group of vehicles numbering 10 or more and proceeding on a public highway under common leadership except for funeral processions and military parades.

Parades and block parties are fun and enjoyable events that require the use of City streets.  Permits are required to ensure that this is done in a safe and efficient manner. The application forms, policies and other pertinent information are included below.
