Proposed Route Changes

The City of Prince Albert is in the process of reviewing the Transit system to look for efficiencies and provide the best service to the citizens of Prince Albert.  The options below will be presented to Council for a final decision and public input provided on this site will aid in this decision making process.

In our initial review we have come up with a number of small changes on the West Hill, East Hill, All Day, West Flat and East Flat routes and have come up with different options for the Rush Hour Service (15th Street Shuttle).  As the 15th Street Shuttle has the least ridership out of any route it was deemed necessary to modify the route or remove the route altogether to make the system more efficient.  Below are different options to implement a Rush Hour Service in the system.

The images below are linked to a virtual map that allows you to see each route in more detail and provide your comments.

System Overhaul

  • This option shows a complete change in the transit routing, going from a Central Transfer Point to a system that utilizes base routes along the main arterials and local routes that feed into the base routes.  This option could provide more flexibility, frequency and convenience for passengers, but would require more study and consultation before any implementation.
