The City is reimagining Prince Albert downtown through a streetscape design project and the input of the public is needed. In the near future the City will be digging up Central Avenue to replace aging pipes that are 110 years old. The dig will require the replacement of all curbs, sidewalks and streets. Before rebuilding, the City will be establishing a streetscape design plan for Central Avenue and the downtown.
Saskatchewan Economic Development Association presents City with Community Development Award
An endeavour to support local artists and celebrate Prince Albert’s cultural assets or district downtown has resulted in a nomination for the City’s culture video “Locals” for Video of the Year in the Saskatchewan Country Music Awards. The City commissioned the video in support of actions identified in the Municipal Cultural Action Plan (MCAP). “Locals” artist LJ Tyson, who wrote the original song for the video, is up for an award alongside local videographer Evan Jenkins, who directed the video.
