Diefenbaker Bridge Traffic Update

1.     Median work on Diefenbaker Bridge: Now completed.

Work began Monday, July 10, 2017 and was completed Tuesday, Jul 11, 2017 at 12 p.m.

We thank motorists for their patience during traffic delays due to work being done constructing the two medians on the bridge. Due to safety concerns for workers, lanes were temporarily closed and traffic restricted. This median work could not be done in the evening due to the ongoing resurfacing project.

 

2.     Diefenbaker Bridge Resurfacing Project: Continues as scheduled.

What:              Bridge Resurfacing

When:             Began July 9 from 7 pm - 7 am. 

Expected to take 6 evenings – weather dependent.

Why:               Milling and Repaving of the Diefenbaker Bridge.

Two way traffic will be accommodated in the evening from 7 pm to 7 am.  Wide Loads will not be permitted during these hours.

Lane Closed - NB 2nd Avenue West & 26 Street

Lane Closed

What: Lane Closed – Northbound lanes will be closed, southbound lanes will accommodate two way traffic

Where: 2nd Avenue West and 26 Street (Intersection)

When:  Thursday, June 8 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Why: Installing storm sewer service
