Ward Boundaries to be reviewed

In accordance with section 60 of the Cities Act, the City of Prince Albert is required to review its ward boundaries after every three elections. The Prince Albert Municipal Wards Commission has reviewed available population statistics and has developed an option for new ward boundaries.

Prince Albert residents are invited to provide general comments on the proposed ward boundaries. Comments can be submitted in one of three ways:

1.    Open House

You can view the proposed maps and leave a submission in the drop-box.

September 18 - October 2
8:00a.m. to 4:30pm
Monday to Friday

2.    Written Feedback

Complete the online form at or write a letter.

3.    Public Hearing

You can make a presentation at the public hearing meeting at City Hall on Wednesday, October 2 at 7:00pm

City Council appointed the following three members to serve on the Municipal Wards Commission:

·         Justice Gary A. Meschishnick (designated by the Chief Justice of the Court of Queen’s Bench)

·         Sherry Person (City Clerk)

·         Brenda Mishak (Citizen at Large)

The Commission ensures that the population of each ward is similar in number. This is done so that every resident’s vote has the same value as that of the next person and that each resident has adequate representation from the Ward Councillors.
