Groups can register with http://pitch-in.ca/, bags and gloves available at City Hall
The annual litter pick-up week is fast approaching in Prince Albert. The 2019 Pitch-In campaign is set for Monday May 6, to Sunday May 12. There is still time for groups, organizations, business, friends and neighbors to get together and register their events with www.pitch-in.ca. Registered groups can come to the Public Works/Community Services desk on the third floor of City Hall to pick-up bags and gloves for their groups.
“We are holding our event a little later then the national group to help ensure good weather,” said Kiley Bear, Communications Manager for the City of Prince Albert. “There’s never a guarantee but it does seem the longer we hold off, the more likely we will have the sun shining when we head out.”
The Downtown Pitch-in event will be held Thursday, May 9, 2019 at City Hall starting at 8:30a.m. Members of the public and downtown businesses are welcome to attend. Gloves and bags will be provided.
Groups can register by visiting http://pitch-in.ca/. Further details are also available at http://citypa.ca/pitch-in including information regarding safe needle pick up.
