Mayor Greg Dionne was at Kinsmen Park today to make a second announcement as part of the new Husky Energy and City of Prince Albert three year partnership for community enhancement projects in the city.
“I am pleased to announce that Husky Energy will be donating to replace one of the oldest paddling pools in Prince Albert with a new state of the art spray park,” said Mayor Greg Dionne, “This project will be yet another addition to park enhancements in the last few years. Dramatic changes have occurred in Kinsmen Park with upgraded waterslides, new main pool, playground and now a new spray park. These upgrades will certainly make this space a summer destination for Prince Albert families.”
“On behalf of City Council and all citizens of Prince Albert I would like to thank Husky for this great partnership and for making this project a reality.”
The centrally located Ella Muzzy Paddling pool, built in 1968, is one of the oldest and busiest in the City of Prince Albert. Kinsmen Park has undergone major renovations over the past two years with over $2.5 worth of upgrades to paths, new washrooms (including updating the one close to the Ella Muzzy location), new playground, waterslide and pool upgrades (in Kinsmen Water Park).
