By Communications on 9/19/2018

221 vehicles, over 9,000 kilograms of waste collected

The City of Prince Albert held its annual Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) Day on Saturday September 15, 2018 with over 221 vehicles that came out and 9000kg of waste collected.

“The event last fall set records in terms of waste collected and we are happy to report that we were able to divert another 9000kgs of hazardous material from the landfill this year,” said Nisar Ghani, Sanitation Manager for the City of Prince Albert.

“This event is an important service for residents of Prince Albert and everyone that uses the Prince Albert landfill,” said Ghani. “Each of these materials has a proper disposal process. We take care of all of that at the event so all people need to do is stop in and we help them to unload their hazardous material – all free of charge.”

The annual event will be held again next fall on Saturday, September 14, 2019.
