Ride the bus for free on Clean Air Day
Prince Albert Sk.
The City of Prince Albert will once again be hosting a FREE transit day on Wednesday June 6th in support of Clean Air Day. This is the 12th year in a row the City has hosted this event. The event is held each year to give residents a chance to try transit free of charge. In addition to getting free transit, riders will be given the opportunity to participate in a draw for some great prizes which include a Marley Bluetooth Speaker, Fresh Air Experience Prize Packs and multiple free monthly transit passes.
On June 6th, there will be three ways to enter:
1. Ride the Bus
Ride the bus and fill out a ballot.
2. Visit our Booth
Fill out a ballot and drop it at the information booth that will be set up from 11am – 2pm at the Transit Transfer Station downtown (14th St between Central Ave and 1st Ave East). There will be giveaways and food trucks will be on-site for those wanting to grab lunch.
3. Take a selfie.
Post a selfie to Instagram, Twitter or Facebook of you at any Transit Stop or on the bus with the hashtag #TryTransitDay
“Clean Air Day has always been an event to encourage our residents to give transit a try.” said Keri Sapsford, Transportation Manager for the City of Prince Albert. “We’ve got some pretty incredible new busses so this is a great year to try something new and check out how the system works.”
Residents interested in trying transit are encouraged to map out their route at www.citypa.ca/transit. Residents can also call Public Works at (306) 953-4900 for assistance on transit stops and transfer points.
