Deadline to submit 2018 applications is Monday, October 2, 2017
Prince Albert, Sk. – Local community groups that wish to apply to the City of Prince Albert to have all or a portion of City fees waived for their event have a new procedure to follow. Groups will have to submit their requests to the Community Service Department by October 1st for the following calendar year (January 1st to December 31st). This year, since October 1st is on a Sunday, forms must be completed by 4:45 PM on Monday, October 2nd, 2017.
In order to more fairly allocate limited funds to registered Prince Albert based not-for-profit groups and organizations the City recognizes that in demonstrated, very exceptional circumstances, there may be merit for Council to consider the waiving of all or a portion of requested fees.
Organizations that have applied in previous years have been notified in writing about the change and provided the new forms. Forms are available at www.citypa.ca under Things To Do-Event Planning and must be completed in full with all requested documentation attached.
As per the Waiving of Fees and In-Kind Support Policy, the following will remain the same:
· Only one (1) request per organization will be considered in a calendar year.
· Waivers will not be considered for private events or events/activities that are not open to the general public.
· Waiver requests will not be considered for non-City fees or expenses.
Applications that are received by the annual deadline date will be presented to City Council for review and approval during the 2018 Budget deliberations which are typically held in November of each year.
