Alfred Jenkins Field House Parking Lot Improvements

Starting Monday, July 22, the City will be starting construction on the front parking lot at the Alfred Jenkins Field House. The work will reconfigure the lot so there is parking and drop off spaces closer to the main entrance. This work is being done in conjunction with recent improvements to the facilitiy and will improve accessibility to the building for those with mobility limitations.

Playground Leaders Host 25th Annual KidzFest Thursday at Kinsmen Park

Prince Albert, Sk. – Since 1994 KidzFest has been a mid-summer tradition in Prince Albert hosted by the city’s Playground Program Leaders. The 25th edition of KidzFest is Thursday, July 18th from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. in Kinsmen Park. The event is totally FREE to attend with a nominal charge for some of the food items available.

City Looking for Public Input on Banning of Single Use Retail Plastic Bags

The City of Prince Albert is exploring the feasibility of banning single use plastic retail checkout sales bags in Prince Albert and is seeking public input on the issue. A short, three question survey is now available at www.citypa.ca and is open to all residents in the Prince Albert shopping area.

Retrofitted Compost Bins Now Available for Sale at the Prince Albert Landfill

In the spirit of waste reduction, the City of Prince Albert is now offering retrofitted garbage and recycling bins for sale as compost bins. Old bins that are no longer of use have been customized by Kin Enterprises to work as backyard compost bins.

Muzzy Drive Playground Officially Open

A new neighbourhood playground on Muzzy Drive is officially open. The playground, located between Damour Terrace and Kernaghan Crescent in Crescent Acres, will provide much needed recreation space for the growing community.

Mayor Dionne Expressing Condolences Following the Passing of Former Mayor Jim Stiglitz

Playground Program Returns July 2

Prince Albert, Sk. – The City of Prince Albert Community Services Department is pleased to announce the Annual Summer Playground Program returns next week. Starting Tuesday, July 2nd the City of Prince Albert Playground Program will kick off for a seven week period through August 16th at 10 playground locations.
