<p>City Manager Jim Toye would like to announce that Wes Hicks has been appointed as the City&rsquo;s new Director of Public Works. Hicks has worked with the City for the last six years as the Manager of Capital Projects. Wes is a Civil Engineering Technologist and a Certified Project Manager. He brings with him 33 years of professional experience, 5 years with consulting engineering firms and more recently with 22 years with the Federal Government in Prince Albert. Hicks oversaw 218 construction projects in his time with the Federal Government and 81 projects to-date with the City of Prince Albert. </p>

<p>The City of Prince Albert would like to advise that the pedestrian bridge located in Prime Ministers&rsquo; Park will be removed on Tuesday, May 22, 2018. The bridge structure has deteriorated and is no longer considered safe. There are two other access points in the park that allow for north and south pedestrian access. There are no immediate plans to replace the bridge at this time. </p>

Communications2018 Paving Program

<p>The list of streets targeted for paving and utility digs this year is now available on the City&rsquo;s website. There are 35 locations identified for paving and 5 locations that will be dug up for water and/or sewer replacements. $4.1 million is allocated to the paving program annually and since 2013, 47.2km of roadways have been repaving which is 16.4% of all roadways in Prince Albert. </p>
